BCCNM now accepting CELBAN computer-based exam and virtual interview for English proficiency

Apr 6, 2021

Effective immediately, the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) will now accept CELBAN’s online computer-based exam and virtual interview as an approved test for demonstrating an applicant’s English language proficiency. The virtual version of CELBAN allows applicants to take the test remotely and is now delivered in formats online and in testing centers across Canada.

English language proficiency is a requirement for all nursing applicants. In cases where an applicant was not educated in Canada and/or English is not the applicant’s first language, the results of an approved language proficiency test must be submitted to the National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) before applying to BCCNM.
