Survey results: Consultation, Referral, and Transfer of Care practice standard for midwives

Jun 2, 2025

Thank you to the 56 midwives who completed the April 2025 survey on the draft Consultation, Referral, and Transfer of Care practice standard.

Results show that most respondents found the standards and the definitions clear and do not have concerns about applying the standards in their practice. The feedback also resulted in edits to other midwifery standards.

BCCNM will continue to engage and collaborate with system partners on this draft standard over the summer. We are also developing learning resources to support this proposed change for fall 2025.
