Bautista, Vanessa, RN

Consent agreement

Jun 24, 2024

On June 24, 2024, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a consent agreement between BCCNM and Vanessa Bautista of Vancouver to address practice issues that occurred between March and November 2023 related to not adhering to established medication administration protocols, not assisting colleagues to attend to a resident who had fallen, inadequate assessments, and documentation deficiencies.

The registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:

a. A reprimand for their conduct.

b. A period of both direct and indirect supervision of their nursing practice for a minimum of three and half months.

c. Remedial education related to documentation, medications, and communication.

d. Developing a learning plan, which will be shared with their employer and with BCCNM.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
