Shively, Kristopher, RN

Consent order

Jul 12, 2024

On July 12, 2024, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a consent order between BCCNM and Kristopher Shively of Burns Lake, B.C., to address conduct that occurred Oct. 17 to 20, 2022, whereby the registrant communicated in an unprofessional manner toward parents of a patient via a social media platform after the patient's mother posted a comment about her negative clinical interaction with the registrant. While the post did not identify the registrant, comments made by others on the post did.

Mr. Shively admits that his conduct amounts to professional misconduct and unprofessional conduct within the meaning of the Health Professions Act.

Mr. Shively has voluntarily agreed to a reprimand, remedial education, and coaching.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that these terms will protect the public.
