Consent agreement

Aug 10, 2018

The Inquiry Committee imposed an interim suspension following a complaint that a patient had died after the registrant had not responded appropriately when the patient was in medical distress after sustaining a fall in a locked room. The Inquiry Committee ordered an assessment of the registrant’s psychiatric nursing skills. Following this assessment, the Registrant entered into a consent agreement with the CRPNBC to undertake a program of learning, to provide performance appraisals, and to not be in charge of a ward until the restriction has been set aside by the Inquiry Committee. The suspension was then lifted.
