On June 18, 2015, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between CRNBC and Arlene Casimiro of New Westminster, BC, to remediate practice issues occurring from May to August 2014 related to administering and effectively safeguarding medication, and the failure to conduct an adequate post-fall assessment on an elderly patient in December 2014. The Registrant completed a subsequent Competency Assessment & Enhancement for Nurses (CAEN) assessment, which recommended a Nursing Re-Entry Program be completed. The Registrant indicated a willingness to complete this program.
In the result, the Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: completing a Nursing Re-Entry Program, and meeting with a CRNBC Regulatory Practice Consultant. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
