Consent agreement

On October 25, 2018 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Walimuni Nisal Abeysekera of Richmond, to remediate practice issues related to communication, documentation, medication administration, surgical and spine specific knowledge and assessment.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and condition on practice for 150 hours of practice, including that he will work with the Clinical Nurse Educator and a designated supervisor, to allow for mentorship and support He has agreed to additional terms including disclosure of the condition to prospective employers, remedial education and a regulatory practice consultation.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
