On February 3, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Laurentino Zulueta of Richmond, in relation to his failure to comply with terms of a previous consent agreement dated November 24, 2017.
Specifically, from November 2017 to January 2018 the Registrant failed to comply with a limitation on his registration of no medication administration; the failure to comply was discovered by two employers and reported to the regulator in January 2018.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a suspension of practising registration for a period of 5 days and an undertaking not to repeat the conduct. Failure to comply with a limitation is considered a serious breach that undermines regulatory efforts to protect patients while a nurse remediates competence.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
