Consent agreement

Feb 5, 2020

On February 5, 2020 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and RN Osahon Adagbonyin of Maple Ridge, BC, to remediate practice and conduct issues occurring in July of 2019.  Issues relate to failing to stop a Propofol infusion on a ventilated patient prior to the patient being extubated, altering his documentation after this was pointed out to him, and failing to discontinue the patient's tube feed prior to the extubation as per the protocol.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a three day suspension. He will also complete a Regulatory Practise Consultation program.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
