On April 4, 2020 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Parvaneh Rasouli of Vancouver, B.C., to remediate practice issues. Specifically, between December 10, 2017 and July 18, 2018 the Registrant failed to complete safety checks, missed medication doses, hung the wrong IV fluids, failed to accurately assess patients, failed to provide accurate and timely documentation, and failed to respond appropriately to professional feedback. Between January 25, 2019 and February 20, 2019, the Registrant failed to follow the facility's protocol for communicable diseases, failed to adequately assess deteriorating patients, failed to provide accurate and timely documentation, and failed to respond appropriately to practice support.
The Registrant has agreed to relinquish her practising registration. She is not legally entitled to practise nursing in B.C. Should she wish to apply for reinstatement in the future, she will be required to meet the character, competence and fitness requirements of registration. The Registration Committee will have access to Inquiry and Discipline's investigative record and any other records it deems relevant in BCCNP possession.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
