On April 15, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Rose Bacud of Maple Ridge, B.C., to remediate practice issues related to improper sterile techniques, improper cast removal techniques, improper intravenous access, failure to document, breach of privacy and insubordination.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a suspension of 14 days, to limit employment to one employer in a single non-acute area of practice for 12 months and not to work in a high acuity unit for 18 months. Additionally, the Registrant has agreed to undergo a six-month period of supervised practice/mentorship, complete education related to documentation, ethics, privacy and confidentiality, communication and Professional Standards, undergo a Regulatory Practice Support consultation, and to develop and engage in a learning plan and provide monthly reports to BCCNP.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
