On July 13, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Amy Denman of Duncan, B.C. to remediate practice issues related to breaching the privacy of seven individuals with whom she did not have a professional relationship, by accessing their electronic health records from August 1, 2017 to August 1, 2019.
The Registrant also disclosed the names of three of the breached individuals to a third party. The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a suspension of 14 days, educational coursework and a regulatory practice consultation.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
