Knierim, Matthew, LPN

Consent agreement

Jul 24, 2020

On July 24, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Matthew Knierim of Kelowna, BC, to remediate practice issues that occurred in February 2020 related to using excessive and unwarranted force in managing a client rather than following proper protocol and utilizing a least-restraint approach to care.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a two-week suspension and terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including completing mandatory remediation in courses covering topics involving a least-restraint approach to care and dealing with adults who are cognitively impaired.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
