Consent agreement

Apr 7, 2022

On April 7, 2022 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Olympia Dela Rosa of Burnaby, to address professional misconduct that occurred between April and August 2021, arising from her deliberate manipulation of her two work schedules, at different worksites, to facilitate holding two full-time positions. The Registrant's misconduct was coordinated to allow her to work at one site, while taking leave (paid and unpaid sick leave, vacation, unpaid general leave, Work Safe BC, and paid and unpaid COVID related leave) from the other. The conduct defrauded the public healthcare system and resulted in the Registrant's termination from both employers.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on their practice, including:

  1. A four-week suspension

  2. A public reprimand

  3. Remedial education in professional ethics and boundaries

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
