Consent agreement

Jul 19, 2023

On July 19, 2023, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Jesusa Tade of Coquitlam, B.C., to address practice issues that occurred in March 2022 related to lack of assessment and escalation of care for patients assigned to her, not following established policies and procedures, being dismissive to a patient who was in distress, lack of appropriate and adequate documentation, and for not communicating effectively with family, physician, and members of the care team.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:

  1. A suspension of their nursing registration for two weeks;

  2. Remedial education in critical thinking, intrapersonal and professional communication, and documentation;

  3. Developing a learning plan which will be shared with their employer and with BCCNM.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
