On May 28, 2024, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a consent agreement between BCCNM and Jaston Dhaliwal, LPN of Abbotsford, B.C. to address practice issues that occurred from March 2023 to July 2023 related to fraud and time theft that he committed. More specifically, the registrant committed time theft for approximately 47 full-time shifts for which he received approximately $20,500 in monies for shifts that he did not work.
The registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:
A suspension of his registration for four months.
A condition on his registration that he complete remedial activities on topics covering professionalism and completing a comprehensive ethics course.
The agreement will remain in place for a minimum of 2.5 years of continuous nursing practice.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
