Resolving Problems:
Assessing Progress

Learning from CRNBC's Standards

Assessing Progress
Assessing progress following implementation of a solution to a professional practice problem is essential. We must consider these questions.

  1. Are we on the right track?
  2. Did we do what we said we would do?
  3. What are the outcomes of the implementation?
  4. What can we do to further improve the situation?

Staying on Track

Sometimes things do not turn out the way we had planned. The steps we take produce a different outcome. This does not mean you have failed; you may want to consider taking your concerns further. Try repeating the steps of the process again and include higher levels of management or perhaps access CRNBC Practice Support Consultative Services.
