Help us field test new assessments
The Nursing Community Assessment Service (NCAS) provides a competency assessment service for internationally educated nurses and healthcare assistants seeking to license in British Columbia or Maritime Canada. NCAS is currently looking for licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) to test its new assessments. Field testing is part of NCAS's quality assurance program.
Requirements
Eligible LPNs and RNs may be:
- experienced,
- recent graduates, or
- students (in their last term)
What's involved
The assessment testing will take place at Langara College's nursing simulation lab on
Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021. Each participant will be scheduled for a
3-hour testing window between 2:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Participants will complete a simulation-based assessment consisting of 4–5 clinical scenarios (approx. 30 minutes each). Results are anonymous and will never be shared with your employer, colleagues, or teachers.
Each participant will receive a $50 gift card in exchange for their time.
