Exam development opportunities for RNs

​Are you a registered nurse (RN) interested in contributing to exam development for the RN entry-to-practice exam (the NCLEX-RN)?

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is seeking RNs from British Columbia to participate in the following expert panels in Chicago, Illinois:

  • ​NCLEX-RN Practice Analysis Expert Panel — Oct. 13–14, 2026
  • NCLEX-RN Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expert Panel — Nov. 17–18, 2026

These panels help ensure the NCLEX-RN exam continues to reflect current nursing practice. All travel-related expenses will be covered or reimbursed by the exam vendor.

Eligibility r​​equirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Hol​d an active nursing licence/registration in good standing
  • Be currently engaged in clinical practice
  • Supervise, precept, and/or mentor newly licensed RNs within their first 12 months of practice
  • ​Not have participated in nursing licensure examination development activities within the past two years, including the development of exam preparation guides or courses (excluding volunteer activities with NCSBN)
