Learning resources

For faculty and students

Welcome to BCCNM's faculty and students learning resources

Effective June 1, 2025, the scope of practice documents for LPNs, RNs, and RPNs have been integrated into stand-alone practice standards and supporting learning resources. As a result of these changes, the videos "Introduction to Nursing Regulation" and "Beginning Practice as a Nurse" have been removed from the college website, as they no longer reflect current information.

To continue supporting faculty in delivering regulatory education to students, we will be publishing new learning modules. More updates coming soon. We appreciate your patience and continued collaboration during this transition.

Cultural Safety and Humility—Video Series

On Feb. 25, 2022, the new Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility, and Anti-racism practice standard came into effect for all nurses and midwives in the province. This standard was developed in partnership with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

Our two colleges collaborated on a series of educational videos, to support nurses, midwives, physicians and surgeons to understand and apply the new standard.
