Ellis, Margaret, RN

Consent agreement

Sep 23, 2024

On Sept. 23, 2024, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a consent agreement between BCCNM and Margaret Ellis of Hornby Island, B.C., to address practice issues that occurred in January 2023 related to performing skills that were outside the scope of practice of a registered nurse, allowing procedures and treatment to be directed by a patient, not following the “on-call" consulting procedures, and not documenting this client encounter accurately and appropriately.

The registrant has voluntarily agreed to a reprimand and suspension of their nursing registration for 10 days.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
