On Aug. 31, 2025, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a consent agreement between BCCNM and Baldiv Singh of Delta to address practice issues that occurred Feb. 23–24, 2023, related to documenting observation checks he did not conduct.
Nurses are responsible and accountable for documenting in the client record the care they personally provide to the client. Care provided by others is documented by those individuals, unless there are exceptional circumstances such as an emergency.
The registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on his practice, including:
- Suspension of his nursing registration for one week.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will address the professional and practice concerns that arose and will protect the public.
