Failure to follow the principles of medication administration and documentation; failure to follow a physician’s order, failure to report complete and accurate information about residents to other members of the health care team, failure to maintain a sterile field, failure to provide safe, competent and ethical care to residents, failure to demonstrate honesty and integrity, including altering documentation, and failure to follow an Order of the Inquiry Committee.

Terms

The Registrant agreed to:

  • Accept a written reprimand;
  • Review the CLPNBC Standards of Practice;
  • Successfully complete the following educational courses:
    • Pharmacology and Medication Administration, with a clinical component;
    • Critical Thinking; and
    • Professionalism in Nursing.
  • Participate in regulatory consultations with a CLPNBC representative.

Limits on Practice: Not return to practice until completion of the pharmacology and medication administration course, with a clinical component.
