Consent agreement

Aug 5, 2020

On August 5, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a·  consent  Agreement  between BCCNP and Rose Vasta of  Victoria, to address conduct  occurring between 2010 and 2019. Specifically, while self-employed in a private counselling  practice in which she  provided  blended  mental  health  and  nursing  services,  Ms.  Vasta  entered  into  a  sexual relationship with a patient; for several of these years Ms. Vasta continued to treat the patient.

Ms. Vasta has voluntarily agreed to cancellation of her registration with BCCNP, and is no longer entitled to practise as an RN in BC. She has also agreed not to apply for reinstatement of registration for at least two years. Should she apply for reinstatement, she will be required to meet the character, competence and fitness requirements of  registration.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public
