Popoff, Wayne, RN

Consent agreement

Sep 17, 2020

On September 17, 2020  a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Registrant Wayne Popoff of Oliver, BC to remediate practice issues that occurred between October 2019 and January 2020 related to the Registrant's failure to assess, document, develop care plans, perform wound care to standard, making a homophobic joke to a client, and for making inappropriate and unprofessional comments to clients and a colleague.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on their practice, including developing and implementing a self-reflection tool that will be reviewed with their supervisor on a regularly scheduled basis, a suspension, completion of several courses, and working with a BCCNP practice consultant.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
