On September 30, 2020 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Dale Henly of Kelowna, to remediate practice issues that occurred in March 2020 related to failure to adhere to scientific based infection control practices and making inappropriate comments concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a four-week suspension of his certificate of registration. The Registrant has also agreed to terms equivalent to a condition and limit on practice for up to 24 months, including: being restricted to working for one employer in a group-based clinic practice rather than in an unsupervised home-care context, not being the sole RN on duty, not having supervision over students and/or new hires, undergoing a period of oversight in the workplace and developing a learning plan relating to best practices for infection control and communications with clients.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
