Lemeshko, Elena, RN

Consent agreement

Sep 28, 2020

On September 28, 2020 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Elena Lemeshko of Coquitlam, to remediate practice issues that occurred between June and August 2019 when the Registrant participated in a coordinated effort with another nurse to conceal an accidental methadone overdose of a patient by falsifying the narcotic control document, diluting the bottle of methadone with water, failing to initiate a PSLS report, failing to notify the leadership team of the error in a timely manner, and making false statements about her actions during the critical incident review.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a four-month suspension and disclosure of this incident to current and future employers for oversight purposes.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
