Consent agreement

​On April 9, 2021 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Leisel Gerein of Duncan, B.C. to remediate practice issues that occurred between April 2020 and July 2020 related to documentation, conducting complete physical examinations, adherence to best-practice guidelines, medication administration.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including: a 12-month prohibition on working in acute care unless formal education is undertaken. They will undergo supervision for a period of three-months with a supervisor who is aware of the facts, develop a learning plan, complete remedial education in pharmacology and clinical assessments and meet with a BCCNM practice consultant.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
