Consent agreement

May 18, 2021

On May 18, 2021 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Marlann Lucas of New Westminster, B.C., to remediate practice issues that occurred between November 2019 and February 2020 related to documentation, physical examinations, adherence to best-practice guidelines, professional communication, and medication administration.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including: a six-month prohibition from working with pediatric patients until all remedial terms are met and six-months of supervision with a supervisor who is aware of the facts. The Registrant will also develop a learning plan, complete remedial education, and meet with a BCCNM practice consultant.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
