On February 15, 2022, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Delaney Prevost of Vernon, B.C. to remediate practice issues that occurred during the period April 2020 to April 2021, related to failing to document, adequately assess, or refer clients for follow up; inappropriate medication administration; and sending unprofessional messages via social media.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:
- A limit prohibiting them from being the sole regulated nurse on duty for a period of 6 months;
- Remedial education in clinical assessment, medication administration, communication, professional accountability, and ethics;
- A 6 month period of workplace mentorship.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
