On Jan. 19, 2024, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Roya Khosravani, LPN of North Vancouver to address practice issues that occurred from around July 2022 to January 2023 related to a lack of competence with safe medication processes, patient assessment and management, and critical thinking in her in nursing practice.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:
A limit prohibiting them from being the sole LPN on duty, having more than one employer, regulatory oversight of students, providing mentorship or orientation to staff, or from being in-charge;
Direct and Indirect supervision of their nursing practice for six weeks;
A condition to complete remedial education prior to returning to work in documentation, medication administration, pharmacology, and a review of the Professional Standards for Licensed Practical Nurses; and
Completion of a robust orientation upon return to work.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
