Same content, new look. Subscribe today!

Thank you to those that took the time to complete our BCCNM Educator Update Readership Survey this spring. The results showed we’re on the right track. Most respondents found the content informative, relevant to their work, and easy to read. You’ll notice that the Educator Update has had a makeover; the new format eliminates the need for PDFs for easy reading and enables a feature that we had many requests for – the ability to subscribe!

If you don’t currently receive the Educator Update directly from BCCNM but would like to, please email newsletter@bccnm.ca to subscribe today.

Full Indigenous cultural safety, cultural humility and anti-racism e-learning series now available

The last three modules in the From Awareness to Action: indigenous Cultural safety, Cultural Humility and Anit-Racism learning series are now available. The new modules – Creating safe health-care experience; Person-led care; and Strengths-based & trauma information practice – continue the learning of the first three modules released in June: Key terms; Self reflective practice; and Anti-racist practice. We encourage you to use the modules to support students to understand the principles of the Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility, and Anti-Racism practice standard and how it will apply to their nursing practice.

Engagement opportunity: Feedback on LPN, RN, and RPN scope

BCCNM is seeking participants for online focus groups in late 2024/early 2025 to provide feedback on proposed changes to LPN, RN, and RPN scope of practice documents.
