To help nurses and midwives understand and apply the Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility and Anti-Racism practice standard, BCCNM collaborated with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC on a series of videos. This month, we're highlighting the video on relational care.

Temporary emergency registration ending Dec. 31

After careful review, BCCNM will end the declared emergency situation on Dec. 31, 2023. Temporary emergency registration will no longer be a registration option after this date.

Inquiry, Discipline, and Monitoring updates

BCCNM publishes a variety of professional conduct notices on its website. These notices include consent agreements, Discipline Committee and Inquiry Committee notices, and Inquiry and Discipline hearing notices. While all of these notices are public information, only exceptional outcomes (i.e., Inquiry Committee order, Discipline order, hearing outcome) and circumstances (i.e., discipline hearing) are highlighted in registrant newsletters.
