All applicants for registration must meet specific requirements. Check if you meet the requirements.

 Overview

To practise as a registered nurse practitioner in British Columbia, a nurse practitioner (NP) must be registered with BCCNM.

BCCNM registers NPs in one of three streams of practice:

  • family
  • adult
  • pediatric

All NP applicants should carefully read BCCNM's Scope of Practice for Nurse Practitioners: Standards, Limits and Conditions.
