File 2014-0481
On November 3, 2014, a complaint was received by CRNBC about a Registrant accessing discarded narcotic vials. The Registrant acknowledged collecting discarded vials and compiling narcotic wastage at his residence. Biological testing did not indicate he had used the narcotics. The Registrant disclosed to his employer and CRNBC, cooperated with the investigation, and voluntarily entered a Consent Agreement equivalent to conditions and/or limits on his practice for a term of five years of continuous nursing practice. The Registrant has a history of addiction impairing professional practice and was being monitored by CRNBC at the time of the incident.
Consent Agreement approved by a panel of the Inquiry Committee on July 23, 2015.
The name of the Registrant has been withheld in accordance with section 39.3(4)(a) of the Health Professions Act for the purposes of not identifying the personal health information of the Registrant respecting the condition. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that these terms are sufficient to protect the public.
