On July 31, 2017 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between CRNBC and Irene Chi Ngan Wong of Vancouver, to remediate practice issues related to medication administration, critical thinking, time management and organizational skills during the time period of October to December 2016. The practice issues arose following the Registrant’s displacement from a research position into acute care.
The Registrant was cooperative during investigation and voluntarily agreed to convert to non-practising registration pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit on practice, including: working in a practice area of lower acuity, not being the sole RN on duty or being unsupervised. She will also practice as super-numerary for a period of one month to consolidate skills. She has agreed to additional terms including disclosure to employers and education. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public
