On June 19, 2017, the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between CRNBC and Aneeta Campbell of Lumby, BC, to remediate her conduct related to directing staff under her supervision to withhold food and fluid from a client for a period of hours, and to lock the door to the client's room to encourage the client to maintain hygiene. The course of action was contrary to policy and nursing standards. Significant mitigating factors were considered by the Inquiry Committee.
In the result, the Registrant voluntarily agreed to a term equivalent to a limit on practice, namely, the equivalent of a twelve month period of full time nursing practice where she is not the sole RN. Additional terms include a consent to a reprimand for the conduct, remedial education, a CRNBC regulatory practice consultation program, and disclosure to employers.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
