On August 13, 2018 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between CRNBC and Ravnit Johal of Richmond, to remediate practice issues. On January 4, 2017, the Registrant failed to follow employer policy, failed to respond to a patient's complaints of signs and symptoms consistent with extravasation during the intravenous administration of a vesicant chemotherapeutic drug, failed to assess and document the reported symptoms, and failed to acknowledge the severity of a patient's outcome which has had life-altering impacts related to both mobility and pain.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a three-month suspension, completing coursework in documentation, medication administration and ethics, repeating a Chemotherapy Certification Program, and constructing and participating in a Learning Plan under the supervision of the Unit Clinical Coordinator.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
