On April 20, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Matthew Allan Luscombe, formerly of Fort St. John, B.C., and currently of Grande Prairie, AB, to remediate practice issues related to his delay in providing patient care, which placed patients in distress and caused loss of dignity; treating patients in an emotionally and/or physically abusive manner, which caused fear and/or physical injury; and improperly documenting care and medication administration for patients.
The Former Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including cancellation of registration and undertaking not to apply for reinstatement with BCCNP before April 30, 2022. Should Mr. Luscombe wish to reinstate his registration he will have to reapply and demonstrate his fitness, competence, and good character to the satisfaction of the Registration Committee. Should Mr. Luscombe wish to apply for registration in another jurisdiction, BCCNP may share further information of this matter with the applicable regulatory health body.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
