Sweeney, Lori Lee, RN

Consent agreement

Jan 5, 2021

On January 5, 2021, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Lori Lee Sweeney of Kitimat, B.C., to remediate practice issues that occurred between February 9, 2018 and October 21, 2019 related to the Registrant providing information to facility and regulatory investigators which she knew to be incorrect, and engaging in bullying or unprofessional behavior, including directing a staff member under her supervision to engage in conduct contrary to facility policies and procedures around the safe handling of sharps and cytotoxic waste.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a public reprimand, a three-day suspension, educational coursework, and a written letter of apology to the colleague impacted by her misconduct.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
