Lipsack, Brian, LPN

Consent agreement

Feb 8, 2021

On February 8, 2021, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Brian Lipsack of Penticton, B.C., to remediate practice issues related to professional misconduct. Specifically, on December 6, 2019, Mr. Lipsack used unacceptable physical force, including elbow contact with a resident’s head and restrained a resident by holding their wrist. The incident was captured on video. Mr. Lipsack expressed remorse for their actions.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a four-month suspension from nursing; a public reprimand; drafting of a learning plan and engagement with a BCCNM practice consultant; six-month prohibition from working alone; six-month period of supervision in the workplace; engagement with a mental health professional in their community; and, completion of three education courses.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
