Consent agreement

Feb 12, 2021

On February 12, 2021, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and LPN Atabongafac Godwill Amin of Prince George, B.C., to remediate practice issues that occurred between February 2018 and November 2019 related to providing patient/client care inconsistent with an established care plan, failing to assess deteriorating patients, and failing to document medications administered.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: completing educational coursework, completing a Regulated Practice Consultation, creating and following a Learning Plan, a six-month period of performance management, and a limit on their practice for a period of three months in the following manner; not to work as the only nurse on duty, not to supervise students, and not to accept primary care patients diagnosed with dementia or developmental disabilities.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
