Ram, Rachele, RPN

Consent agreement

Mar 24, 2021

On March 24, 2021 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Rachele Ram, RPN, of Surrey, B.C. to remediate practice issues that occurred from February 2020 to September 2020 relating to her failure to meet medication administration practices, including ensuring that associated documentation was completed. The Registrant was identified by a pharmacy auditing system as accessing a particular drug at a much higher rate than comparative peers. She acknowledged the clinical deficiencies with her nursing practice and proactively undertook remedial activities to address the concerns.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a fifteen-day suspension; a limit restricting her from working in an emergency department for a term; and undergoing random audits of her medication administration practices for a term.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
