Consent agreement

Dec 6, 2021

On December 6, 2021 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Harjit Sandhu of Surrey, BC, to remediate practice issues related to changing an IV bag containing insulin without conducting a double check as required and not documenting the insulin on the medication administration record. The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to limits on practice, including: a suspension of registration for a period of 2 weeks, a public reprimand, a prohibition on independently administering insulin, and a prohibition on acting as RN in charge, working as sole RN, or providing supervision to students or others. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
