Lachance, Vivianne, Former LPN

​Following a section 39.1 proceeding under the Health Professions Act to determine what action, if any, the Discipline Committee should take following another regulatory college's findings regarding Vivianne Lachance, the Discipline Com​​mittee determined Vivianne Lachance committed an act that constituted unprofessional conduct while a Registrant with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing by permanently destroying health records and failing to cooperate with the health regulator in Nova Scotia. 

The Discipline Committee ordered that: 

  • Ms. Lachance's registration be suspended for six months in the event she applies for and is granted reinstatement of registration with BCCNM; and

  • Ms. Lachance must, at her cost, complete the PROBE Program and obtain an unconditional pass and provide confirmation that she has done so to the Registrar of BCCNM prior to being eligible for reinstatement in any class of registration with BCCNM.
