Consent agreement

Aug 21, 2022

On August 21, 2022 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Tammy Goodwin of New Westminster, to address practice issues that occurred on February 2, 2022, related to retrieving a discarded COVID-19 vaccine syringe from a used sharps container and instructing an injector to administer the vaccine to a client. In addition, the Former Registrant self-administered her COVID-19 booster and did not document it in the health records system.

The Former Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:

  1. A limit prohibiting them from working in a supervisory role for a period of two years.

  2. Remedial education in immunizations, infection control, ethics, documentation, and professional responsibility & accountability.

  3. A period of orientation and mentorship.

  4. An undertaking not to repeat the conduct.
