Dupuis, Joseph Michael, RN

Consent agreement

Dec 5, 2022

On December 5, 2022, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Joseph Michael Dupuis of Sicamous to address practice issues that occurred between March 1 and March 17, 2022, and related to the use of unprofessional language in the workplace, failure to safely administer oral medications to a resident, failure to practice basic hand hygiene, failure to follow sterile technique during urinary catheter insertion, failure to demonstrate basic wound hygiene and knowledge, and failure to acknowledge and remedy resident discomfort during wound care.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to cancel his registration and has agreed not to reapply for practising registration for at least one year, at which time he would have to meet all registration standards, including competence, fitness, and good character.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
