Check your practice hours

Practising RNs need to accumulate at least 1,125 practice hours every five years to renew their registration. Now is a great time to check your hours and come up with a plan if you might fall short.

You can estimate your five-year practice hours total by adding the number of hours you have practised so far in 2022 (check your pay stubs) to the number of practice hours you reported to the college from 2018-2021.

Have you signed up to the Health Provider Registry for B.C.’s Emergency Response?

As we head into the summer season and its increased risk of wildfires or floods, along with the continuing impacts to our system from COVID-19, the need for health human resources to respond to urgent or emergency events remains.

The Ministry of Health is currently undertaking a refresh of the registry and needs your help. If you signed up for the registry, you’ll be receiving an email from FreshWorks asking you confirm your continued interest in being on the registry.

If you haven’t signed up, please consider joining.

Please allow three weeks for order processing and delivery.

We process pad orders on Tuesday mornings and the pads are mailed, via Xpresspost, by the Ministry's printer one week later. We recommend putting in your order by Monday afternoon to be included in that week’s Tuesday morning transfer.
