PHO order: COVID​ vaccination for regulated health professionals

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has announced she is issuing a new public health order requiring all regulated health professionals to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This expands upon an order issued in October 2021 and will go into effect on March 24, 2022.

New practice standard for nurses and midwives

On Jan. 27, 2022, the BCCNM board approved a new practice standard: Indigenous cultural safety, cultural humility, and anti-racism.

This new standard takes effect Feb. 25, 2022.

Inquiry, Discipline, and Monitoring updates


BCCNM publishes a variety of professional conduct notices on its website. These notices include consent agreements, Discipline Committee and Inquiry Committee notices, and Inquiry and Discipline hearing notices. While all of these notices are public information, only exceptional outcomes (i.e., Inquiry Committee order, Discipline order, hearing outcome) and circumstances (i.e., discipline hearing) are highlighted in registrant newsletters.

BCCNM's office will be closed on Monday, Feb. 21 for Family Day. We will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
